Product Details:
Razor bumps (pseudofolliculitis barbae): Razor bumps
are created when the growing beard hairs exit the
skin, curl over, and burrow into the adjacent skin.
This creates a foreign body reaction resulting in
an unsightly condition. Razor bumps form on the
beard areas of men. Occurrence varies with nationality.
Ingrown Hairs: These form when hairs, growing back
after shaving, waxing, electrolysis, or other hair
removal method, fail to grow out of the skin. The
hair curls over inside the follicles under the skin.
By curling, the hair creates a foreign body reaction
in the hair follicle. The inflammation in the follicle
then creates and unsightly bump.
Many
products claim to deal with these two problems.
Their actions, however, are limited as per our customer
feedback.
Tend Skin liquid works on in-grown hairs and razor
bumps as follows:
1.
Application causes an increased fluid ingress into
skin.
2. This ingress increases fluid pressure under the
skin.
3. The increased turgor tends to squeeze the hair
follicles.
4. This squeezing of the follicles decreases their
diameter leaving less room in the interior of the
follicles.
5. Squeezing the follicles forces ingrown hairs
to exit the pores and, thus, grow to the surface
